Zoom in up to 500% without the text spilling off the screen
Navigate most of the website using just a keyboard
Use ReciteMe Application to provide an array of accessibility tools
AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

Enforcement Procedures
The Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) is responsible for enforcing the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018 (the ‘accessibility regulations’). If you’re not happy with how we respond to your complaint, contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS)
Technical information about this website's accessibility
Bangor University Students’ Union is committed to making its website accessible, in accordance with the Public Sector Bodies (Websites and Mobile Applications) (No. 2) Accessibility Regulations 2018.
Compliance status
This website is partially compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 AA standard, due to the non-compliances below.
Non-accessible content
Some of the links on the website are not labelled correctly or the back half of the links are too broad to be meaningful. When taken out of context, it may not be clearly understandable on what the purpose of the link is. We will correct link text over time as we review each page.
Some of our forms are built and hosted through third-party software and ‘skinned’ to look like our website.
Some interactive widgets on the website don’t have descriptive tags and labels. This means some of our interactive widgets, such as carousels, don’t inform screen reader users of the current state of the widget. We will correct interactive elements and widget over time as we review each page.
Disproportionate Burden
This section covers issues that we cannot fix right now. We’ve assessed the cost of fixing these issues but believe that doing so would be a disproportionate burden within the meaning of the law.
Captions
Some of our recorded content may not have captions by default. We produce fully edited captions upon request to ensure the accuracy of the information being provided. We will work to ensure all new recordings are supported with captions to meet accessibility standards.
Content that’s not within the scope of the accessibility regulations.
This section covers issues that we do not need to fix right now. The law calls these exemptions.
Maps
Our website uses online maps. Where there is a map, the information being displayed is provided in an alternative format on the same web page.
Third-party content
Our website contains third-party content. We do not have control over and are not responsible for the accessibility of this content, but we make best endeavours to work with the third-party to improve its accessibility. This may include:
Links to non-Undeb Bangor or Bangor University websites
Content/functionality on our website
Content hosted on other websites, such as social media sites
To help accessibility compliance across the sector, users can refer to search BOX, a centralised, independent directory of third-party accessibility information.
searchBOX catalogues the contact information and accessibility statements of third-party suppliers, enables the sharing of community-generated accessibility statements, and allows users to map their supplier ecosystem.
Users can access third-party accessibility statements using the free searchBOX Finder Service.
We encourage all our partners and suppliers to support this effort by ensuring that their accessibility information is included in the searchBOX directory.
What we're doing to improve accessibility
We are working hard to ensure our website is accessible to all our members by implementing internal processes to guide us with delivering relevant and accessible content. We are also working with our website provider (OneVoice) to ensure we have the tools to make appropriate changes to the website and to make it more user-friendly and an enjoyable user experience.
Ensure images across the website are supported with alternative text where images won’t display on some devices or are inaccessible to some users
Ensure the website is fully optimised for mobile devices
Layout and organisation of text are consistent across web pages
Add captions to recorded video content
