Welcome to the Bangor Student Society of Change Ringers (BSSCR)! Whether you’re an experienced ringer or have never touched a bell rope before, all are welcome to join us and give bell ringing a go. We practice every week at our home tower of St Tegai’s, Llandegai (a short distance from Bangor), and also support the weekly ringing at St. Mary & St Nicholas’ church, Beaumaris. Alongside these practice nights we regularly organise an exciting range of other ringing opportunities, including quarter peals and ringing outings to towers across North Wales.

Practice Nights Around Bangor University

MONDAY

St Mary & St Nicholas, Beaumaris, (8 bells, 12-0-0) – Monday 19:30-20:30.

Travel: 30min bus journey + 3min walk from Bangor Bus Station D to Beaumaris Bulkeley Hotel Bus Stop using the number 58 bus.

THURSDAY

St Tegai, Llandegai, (6 bells, 9-2-22) – Thursday 19:30-21:00 – Main student tower 

Travel: 10min bus journey + 3min walk from Bangor Bus Station D to Penrhyn Castle Bus Stop using the number 5 bus.

FRIDAY

Holy Trinity Church, Llandudno, (8 bells, 15-0-21) – Friday 19:30-21:00

Travel: 45mins train journey + 5min walk from train station. There are hourly train services, with an exchange at Llandudno Junction, from Bangor to Llandudno. 

Alternatively, car share options may be available for transport to local practice nights, but please contact us first to check.
