Bangor University Women's Rugby Union have won their BUCS league after winning every game this season as well as their last game of the season away at the University of Salford on the 16th of March. Following their win the women will be promoted to a higher league.
Club Captain Maren Bick-Maurischat and the women train twice a week under coach Joe Simpson and some players train and play with the Caernarfon Rugby Club. The hard work throughout the last year as well as over the pandemic, keeping up their fitness with online sessions have really paid off.
Joe Simpsons, Rugby Hub Officer and the Women's coach said โThe recruitment has been a success from day one and has proved vital this season. The team has created a fantastic culture within the club with a mix of experienced and beginners that has led to getting the best results we have ever had.โ
Congratulations to the women on their hard work and all the best in your new BUCS league next season.
