Student-Led Teaching Awards 2024

Your student experience wouldn't be as incredible without the staff and students going above and beyond to make it memorable. These awards acknowledge their contributions. The dinner took place on Thursday, 2 May 2024, in PJ Hall at Bangor University. A total of 265 nominations were received this year, reflecting how supportive the staff have been and how grateful the students are.

This year, the Student Choice Award went to Chavorn Roberts, while the Staff Choice Award was presented to Rachel Healand-Slone. Congratulations to both; these awards are well-deserved.

Fran Kohn-Hollins, Student Voice Lead at Undeb Bangor, commented, “It was a great evening celebrating the wonderful staff and students at the university. Congratulations to all who won or were nominated. Everyone has worked extremely hard this year to provide the best student experience.”

- Uchechi Nwagboso Iro: Employability Excellence Award

- Comfort Ugbabe: Outstanding Course Rep Award

- Jo Smith: Award for Outstanding Pastoral Support

- Helen Munro: Support Staff Award

- Siwan Humphreys: Award for Welsh-Medium Education

- Ross Roberts: Dissertation / Thesis Supervisor of the Year

- Aron Owen: Postgraduate who Teaches Award

- Edward Morris: Unsung Hero

- Mihela Erjavec: Inclusivity Champion 

- Joshua Andrews: Student Voice Award

- Iolo Price: Outstanding Contribution to the Students' Union

- Joshua Andrews: Teacher of the Year
