VOLUNTEERING AND COMMUNITY COORDINATOR
josie.ball@undebbangor.com

I first started working at Undeb Bangor in November 2020 as a Period Poverty and Dignity Project Officer, developing and implementing a student-led campaign and scheme to provide students with access to free period products and to educate, empower and inspire them around all things menstruation.
I studied Geography and International Development as an undergraduate and have volunteered for a variety of different organisations and charities both within the UK and overseas. Some highlights include teaching entrepreneurs’ business skills in Tanzania and refugees and asylum seekers English over Zoom during the pandemic.
I love working with individuals and communities to empower them and I’m incredibly grateful for the role volunteering has played in my own personal and professional development. It has enabled me to develop the confidence, skill set, passion and experience to work in my current role as Volunteering and Community Coordinator. I enjoy being able to support students in doing exactly the same here at Undeb Bangor. Having grown up in North Wales, being able to work with local partners, charities and organisations within the local community is the cherry on top!
Whether you’re a partner of ours or a student, you can come to me for any support relating to volunteering projects and their running but also any work/campaigns or events relating to our sustainability or community related work.
