The Debate Society at Bangor is a place for anyone to express their ideas without censorship. You don't have to be an expert at debating to come along, just have an interest in sharing different ideas. It's also a great place to work on competitive debating skills while discussing a whole range of different issues. Additionally, you can build skills such as public speaking, researching different topics and forming factual arguments. We hope to have some really passionate debates and to expand our community, if you would like to try debating then sign up and get involved!

We meet up every Thursday 6-8pm in the activities hub above Bar Uno, and tend to continue the debate after downstairs. Every level of debator is accepted and you can say as much, or as little, as you are comfortable with.
