BFSA is the society for anyone wishing to further develop their forestry knowledge, skills and network links.

BFSA is held in high regard by many within the forestry industry: you will have the opportunity to build connections with students, staff and future employers. It's a great way to connect with individuals from an array of backgrounds with similar interests and to get subsidised trips.

Throughout the year we hold academic talks from forestry and environmental professionals, which provide a valuable insight into the working world, along with providing opportunities to develop your practical woodland management skills through volunteer days nearby to Bangor.

Further to this the BFSA can act as a point of contact and advertisement platform for extra-curricular forestry opportunities throughout the year, both in the UK and abroad.

Although the society’s members are typically forestry students – from across all cohorts and degree programmes (it really is a great way to expand your forestry friendship groups!) – any member of the university with an interest in trees, woodlands, land management and having a pint or a cup of tea with like-minded people (be that virtually or in person) is very much welcome to join!

Join us in continuing Bangor’s long-standing forestry reputation, meeting like-minded people and boosting your university experience!
