Volunteer to improve our student-led Healing Gardens and create a haven for local wildlife, in addition to a space for our local community to relax and connect in. 

 

Volunteer with STAG to manage and develop a Botanic Garden, situated on the shores of the Menai Straight  

 

Volunteer with Go Fairtrade to support small-scale Fairtrade producers in Africa by telling everyone about the benefits of Fairtrade for the whole community, promoting their goods and identifying new products that could be Fairtrade.  

 

Volunteer with Greener Gwynedd and take part in practical conservation activities such as tree planting, Himalayan balsam bashing, beehive making and much more.   

 

Volunteer with Hedgehog Friendly to monitor hedgehog numbers on campus and develop more hedgehog-friendly areas for numbers to thrive!  

 

Volunteer with Snowdonia Donkey Sanctuary on our Donkey Project to support the preservation of the land around the sanctuary, walk the donkeys and look after their wellbeing.  

 

Take part in our Beach cleans all year round to help conserve our local coastline whilst enjoying the natural beauty it has to offer!  

 

Volunteer with Hungry Dragons, help raise awareness around food waste, encourage sustainable practices and make yummy preserves from leftover fruit and vegetables.  

 

Join Freshwater Conservation Club and partner with organisations across Wales to carry out river and lake clean-ups, gain valuable skills through conservation training opportunities and enjoy socials such as wild swimming and snorkelling.  

 

Campaign with our Period Poverty and Dignity project to educate, empower and inspire students around menstruation and environmentally friendly period products.  

 

Volunteer to tree plant and clear footpaths at Bryn Ifan, the North Wales Wildlife Trust’s newly acquired reserve on the Llyn Peninsula.  

 

Put your repair skills to the test and volunteer at one of our Repair Cafes to help fix electrical items, bikes and textiles that out students and members of the public bring in for repair.  

 

Join Afonydd Menai in monitoring local water vole numbers, camera trapping and identifying wildlife tracks and signs.
