A Wasp trap was found by the bins at the Oswald's building (see image).
Wasps are important polinators and are vital for the UK's biodiversity. It is shocking that a university which prides itself in sustainability has these traps.
The wasp trap found was from Waspbane https://www.waspbane.com/sample-page/2-1-basics/
"Whilst the WaspBane wasp trap is specifically designed to exploit wasp behaviour in very clever ways, it also catches other insect pests including mosquitos, flies and different varieties of moth including apple and codling moths. The WaspBane wasp trap is particularly good at eradicating wax moths which makes it ideal for protecting bee hives." The trap also kills other important insects such as moths.
Bangor University must commit to protecting polinators and remove all wasps traps.
