About Me

Hi, I am Nida Ambreen, the newly elected President of Undeb Bangor.
My top four priorities are:
1.    Improving student representation and closing the feedback loop.
2.    Healthy Weight, Healthy Wales campaign.
3.    Addressing the cost-of-living challenges.
4.    Advocating for EDI (Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion) and supporting international students.
A little about me:
I come from Islamabad, Pakistan, where I completed my undergraduate degree in Veterinary Medicine at Arid Agriculture University. I am currently pursuing a Masterโ€™s in Public Health and Health Promotion at Bangor University.
With my background in veterinary medicine, I have a special fondness for dogs and appreciate the unique bond they share with humans. My hobbies are ever evolving, but Iโ€™m currently passionate about photography and recently bought a camera to enhance my skills. I also enjoy taking walks and appreciating Bangorโ€™s natural beauty, especially the views from Main Arts are amazing. I also like cooking, particularly when it involves preparing spicy Pakistani cuisine. I have a deep love for ice cream and find it an irresistible treat.
My journey from Pakistan to Bangor, UK, has been driven by both academic pursuits and personal passions. As President of Undeb Bangor, I am dedicated to bringing a unique perspective to the Students' Union and making a positive impact on the student community, drawing on my diverse experiences and interests to lead with empathy and commitment.
